Introducing the Ryobi 755 - B2 Press
Introducing the Ryobi 755 – B2 Press
As an addition to our ever growing fleet of high quality machines, Callprint have recently
installed a Ryobi 755 – B2 Press. We feel that the lithographic market is continuing to grow
despite the advances of digital machines, and that the installation of the Ryobi will compliment
the digital work that we currently produce. please read through the benefits that this new
device will give to our customers.
What does this mean to you?
Size - Wider printing area
The RYOBI 750 Series comes with a maximum printing area of 765 x 545 mm (30.12” x 21.46”)
,
Paper – More flexible range
The press can flexibly handle a wide range of paper from 0.04mm (0.0016”) onion skin to 0.8mm
(0.031”) thick cardboard or standard paper ranges from 60gsm to 450gsm.
Speed – Quality and quantity
Printing speed is assured at the high speeds of 15,000 B2 sheets per hour (60,000 A4 per
hour). With the advantage of the Non-stop Feeder, paper can be continually fed whilst the Press
continues to print.
Colour – 5 colour
Now we have the flexibility of printing 5 colour, 4 colour plus one spot colour, 5
down to 1 spot colours.
Speed and Productivity – Inline Coating System
Take advantage of Aqueous coating with the Inline Coating System. In addition to adding value
to printed materials, such as surface protection and glossy finishes, the Inline Coating System
also shortens drying time, which offers shorter delivery time.
Speed and Productivity – Infrared Dryer
We can now boost productivity with the Infrared Dryer unit which is installed on the
Press. The Dryer provides an extremely quick drying solution which enable’s shorter delivery
times and the capability of being able to handle printed sheets for finishing at a much quicker
rate than standard processes.
Speed and Productivity - Semi Automatic Plate Changing
RYOBI semiautomatic plate changer allows the printing plate to be changed easily and
accurately with simple push button operation, there by drastically reducing the make-ready time and
improving productivity. The operator merely sets the plate on the positioning pins and presses a
button.
Quality - RYOBI-matic-D Continuous Dampening System
The RYOBI-matic-D continuous dampening system assures a uniform dampening supply on the plate
surface to reproduce sharp halftone dots, glossy solids and finely detailed text. Starting is
quick and this system is designed to minimize wasted sheets. The dampening system
substantially reduces hickeys on plates by adopting a new drive mechanism for the water form
roller.
Quality and Speed – High speed infeed mechanism
By utilising an underswing and drop-away front lay infeed system – high registration accuracy
is maintained even during high speed operation at 15,000 sheets per hour.
Quality and Control – Auto Print Density Control System
Utilising the Auto Print Density Control System enables you to measure the colour bar of the
printed sheet using the spectrophotometer, offering the ability to automatically correct colour
densities to match the correct printed sheet. The system calculates and provides a feedback to the
machine which then appropriately adjusts the openings of the ink fountain keys. Quality control is
now achieved using precise numerical values, contributing to consistent quality
printing.
Quality and Control – Ink Volume Setter Software
The printed image area ratio data is calculated by the Ink Volume Setter Software. Using the
data created offers the advantage to preset the Ink Fountain keys on the Press. Effective use of
Pre-Press data dramatically reduces the labour and time prior to printing production.
Quality and Control – Digital Workflow
An optimised Digital Workflow enables smooth connection of Pre-press, Printing and Post-press
Operations as well as consistent control with our JDF compliant management system. Our information
Digital Workflow System handles everything from receipt of order to delivery of printed
material.
Environment – The Greener Option
The Ryobi 755 has the advantage of using vegetable based inks and alcohol free fount
solutions. All printing plates are produced on a ‘Processless’ Computer to Plate System. In
partnership with Ryobi we can apply operating practices and procedures which will help in the
protection of the environment.
